About Tghyera
Tghyera (تغيير) means “change” in Arabic.
But for Moroccan master artisans—maalem—it means much more. It's the essence of craftsmanship: the ability to adapt, to rethink tradition without betraying it. In their own words: “المعلم لي مكيعرفش لتغييرة ماشي معلم” Tghyera is founded on this principle. Born from years of learning zellige and traditional Moroccan arts at the Academy of Traditional Arts, it reflects an intimate understanding of how true mastery lies in subtle transformation adjusting a motif to fit space, function, and meaning, without losing its soul. We are mtaalemin and we work hand-in-hand with maalmin and creatives for the sole design to create objects that are culturally rooted yet responsive to today’s contexts. Every Tghyera piece blends inherited knowledge and adaptive design. It’s not reproduction. It’s evolution through discipline, tradition, and intelligent variation. Tghyera is not a brand that follows trends. It honors centuries of expertise and brings it forward. One pattern, one shape at a time.
Ghraf qtran
